Devonshire House - Care Centre for the Elderly
Devonshire House is a beautiful, purpose built care centre for the elderly providing excellent care facilities, set in the picturesque village of Cavendish in Suffolk.
Our focus is to ensure that all those in our care lead fulfilling and enjoyable lives. We strive to achieve this through the provision of excellent standards of individualised care within a relaxing, homely, safe and friendly environment.
Our care services encompass caring for the frail elderly, post operative care, convalescent and respite care through to specialised dementia and palliative care. All of our care staff have been carefully chosen for their expertise, warmth and genuine desire to provide an enhanced quality of life for the elderly.
Devonshire House is furnished and decorated to a very high standard throughout. It’s divided into three clearly defined areas, each providing 24-hour care all year round for both short and long stay residents. All areas are connected to our comprehensive nurse call system, allowing us to provide support and assistance as soon as it’s required.
The Old Rectory and Cheshire Suites are both purpose built to provide excellent facilities for the frail elderly.
Specialist dementia care is provided in The Ryder Wing by our qualified care team. This wing of Devonshire House is specifically designed to provide an environment which is comfortable, relaxing, and safe.
Devonshire House is a regeneration of the old Sue Ryder Charity Headquarters and the Leonard Cheshire nursing home, sensitively restored to reflect the age of the buildings.
